    Do´s in Vietnam:

    – Plan a lot of time for the establishment of the business relationship.

    – Correct business clothing in business life is important (seriousness and respect).

    – Negotiating prices and conditions is a “national pastime”

    – Very good intercultural mediators and specialist translators are indispensable.

    Dont´s in Vietnam:

    – Do not criticize “Uncle Ho”, the government or politics, or make jokes about them.

    – Never use knives, scissors or glass as gifts, because they “end the relationship”.

    – Do not lecture on human rights or environmental pollution.

    – At official gala dinners, do not start eating before the highest ranking person and stop eating immediately when they stop (strict table order).

    – Do not put chopsticks vertically into the rice bowl (offerings for the dead).

      – When taking a taxis, make sure that the speedometer is switched on.

      – Do not travel without valid identity documents and tickets (passenger and ticket control)

      – No serious criticism of Eintracht, Offenbach Kickers (Local Football clubs), Appel Wein & Green Sauce (Ebbelwoi and Grüne Sauße). (sacrilege)
